Welcome to The Model School.

Thank you for visiting our website. As Principal, I am delighted to welcome you to our school and to share a little about what makes The Model School such a special place to learn and grow.

The Model School is a small, vibrant primary school under Protestant patronage where every child is known as an individual and encouraged to achieve their full potential. We are proud of our welcoming, inclusive atmosphere, where children feel happy, safe and valued. Our Christian ethos underpins all that we do, guiding us to foster kindness, compassion, respect and integrity in our daily interactions.

We believe that every child has unique gifts and talents. Our dedicated staff work together to provide a caring and stimulating learning environment where children are encouraged to develop confidence, curiosity and a lifelong love of learning. High-quality teaching, combined with genuine care for each pupil’s wellbeing, enables every child to thrive academically, spiritually, emotionally and socially.

Our school community is made up of four mainstream class teachers, one Special Education Teacher, dedicated Special Needs Assistants, our school secretary and caretaker. Together, we are committed to creating an environment where every child is supported, challenged and inspired to become the very best version of themselves.

Respect for one another is at the heart of life in The Model School. We encourage our pupils to celebrate diversity, appreciate each other’s strengths and differences, and develop into caring, responsible members of society. Strong partnerships between home and school are central to our success, and we greatly value the support and involvement of our parents and families.

Although we are a small school, we are ambitious for every child in our care. We provide a broad, balanced and engaging curriculum, offering opportunities for children to discover their interests, develop their talents and build the skills they need for the future.
